Good Report

Room two was the place to be yesterday on the Cardiac Transition Unit as Gracie charmed the nurses with coos, laughs, and smiles.  At 6:00 that morning when she woke up screaming, I thought it would be the longest 4 hours of my life as she had to fast before the procedure.  She really surprised me by calming down and enduring without her bottle (singing some Andrew Peterson to her seemed to help).

Everything went great;  looking at her today you would never know what she went through yesterday.  The next open heart surgery will be sometime in early January.  Thank you to everyone who prayed;  we really feel like we aren't in this alone.

I am glad to see this post - I just commented on your last blog. I am behind a bit. I am glad she is ok. I will be praying in January. let us know the date. Emma's surgery is in the summer sometime.

Also, please tell me who Andrew Peterson is. That is the name of Josh's cousin who died this last year at age 29 - and if there is a Christian singer named that. I would love to hear his music. that name caught me off guard on your blog.

And I bet that had to be really hard for Gracie to have to fast before everything.

I am glad you had a good report. Still praying. Won't stop.
